Warehouse

Danielle had been watching everything, sitting against the wall and almost blending in the shadows without realizing it. It was so instinctive, she never realized that she was hiding until she moved. ~He hasn't touched it? I had no idea.~ Alec sat on her lap, fidgeting, he didn't like staying still but he wanted to stay close to her. ~You going to let him tough it?~ ~It only makes sense, right? He's been good.... I think.~ Bardon seemed to have worked it out with Bardon. ~But what if you do, and it backfires?~ ~We've all got take risks, right?~ She smiled to herself, the way they were talking about him sounded like talking about releasing a wild animal upon a village. ~He might as well be, with all the things he's done.~ Alec replied.

(time jump)

"Dani?" He called seeing her sitting in the darkness.

She looked up when she heard her name, her figure becoming more visible with the movement. "Hmm?"

----> Fields.

Rio came in on a full galop, and Pierce jumped off with Arya in his arms. "DANI!" He called, Aryas Blood soaking through his thin shirt. "She's been poisend." He said quickly

She turned as they burst in, not able to react for a few seconds. "What?!?" she brought her knees up and put her hand against he wall, standing up ad walking over. "Put her down, and don't let her move." she told him.

"Ley out some hay so its not so hard on her back." He said quickly, and once the hay was down he set her on it.

"What happened?" she asked, still a little stunned. She was frantically trying to remember what Halt had told her and the pressure wasn't helping. 'If only Jarlon-' btu she cut the thought off short, he wasn't and there wasn't time to say if only. "We have to cancel it out, use another poison, like burning out a fire with another. When the two collide in her system they slowly burn each other out." she said, roboticlly making sure nothing else was wrong with her.

"she didnt tell me what happened." He said bluntly. "All she said was 'Argains dagger was poisend.'"

"Well, do you know of any poisonous plants or anything? It just has to be different from the one already in her!" She was getting frustrated at his passive attitude, "She will die if we don't do something soon! It's spreading!" Arya's pulse dropped a little and Danielle paled, if she died like this...

Bardon came running to the warehouse when Tunani had told him what happened.
"What's going on?!" He asked, a bit worried.

He growled slightly. "I dont know ANYTHING about plants." He growled once more. "Why dont you go find a plant, and I will tend to her." He said, calming down.

"BARDON!" He Growled turning. "Go find a poisonis plant." He ordered.

She stood up, swearing under her breath as Arya's skin paled dangerously, she went outside, calming herself as she went. All the time Halt had taught her about the plants when they were in the forest flashed back to her. It took her around seven minutes to find a plant that would work. It wasn't the preferred one but it would do for now.

~Back at the Warehouse

"Move." she said, not waiting for an answer before she shoved Pierce away and worked to get the counteracting poison into Arya's body. She took out a dagger, making a small cut at the wrist and squeezing some of the nectar into the cut. 'Good thing she's out, that would sting like hell.' she thought absently, scooting away from her. "We just have to hope it's enough now." she said to them, patching up the cut so the poison wouldn't seep back out.

He went and sat down next to her and stroked her hair out of her face. "thank you" He said bluntly.

Bardon looked at Pierce.
"Wha...?" Then he saw Danielle go out and come back in with a plant. He watched her work and sat down on a barrel.
"Anything I can do?" He asked.

"Arya..." He whispered.

"You" He said, looking Bardon straight in the eye. "Can go and get some food for the 4 of us." He said simply. "Its been a long day."

She ignored both of them, her eyebrows creased as she waited for a few seconds. The original cut slowly began to stop bleeding and Arya's breathing picked up. Breathing a sigh of relief, she felt her pulse again, confirming that the poison was working. "She's going to be fine, weak for a few days, but fine." she said, with no emotion to no one in particular. Now that Arya was getting better, the adrenaline wore out and she was beginning to feel the reality. 'She could have died, she could have died right there in front of me...' she though.

"I..uh...um....ok.." He said slowly and walked outside, heading to Rhea's house to grab some food.

~15 min later

Bardon returned with a bag full of foods. Apples, bread, some food for the animals, and a few canteens of water.
"Here." He said, setting the bag down. From another bag he pulled out meat for Tunani and some vegetables for Alec. He sat down and drank some water from his canteen.
"Hope she'll be alright..." He mumbled.

Rial walked in outside humming a happy tune when she witnessed a scene that would have made her choke on her own words. "uh..ummm..uhh" she stutterd a bit "What happened, everything ok?" She asked quickly

"She'll be fine" He said sternly. "You can thank Danielle." He said Bluntly.

He walked over to his Cart. "You could have just walked over here." He said with a half smile. He pulled out 8 strips of beef, two for each incase arya awoke. He tossed them to Dani and bardon.

He aslo grabbed a jar of Butter for the Bread.

"Here. I bought it about 4 days from the day I came... It will make the bread Heartier, and More filling" He said simply.

Bardon looked down embaressed.
"Sorry." He said, biting into his apple.

Feeling a little ignored she looked at Bardon who looked like he was just beatin into the ground by a boulder. She sat down beside him and smiled and didn't say a word.

"Your fine kid" He said patting his back and sitting down next to arya. "Ha!" He said to rial. "You just missed all the 'fun'" He said making quotes with his fingers around the word fun.

She slid back to the wall, leaning her head against it and closing her eyes. ~The important thing is that she didn't die. She's fine, thanks to you.~ Alec reassured, ~I know, I just it was such a real possibility, I-I've had to face that kind of possibility. Someone dying because i couldn't save her.~ Alec curled of on her lap, putting warmth back into her frigid hands. After her breathing evened she opened her eyes and saw Gladrial, looking a little confused. 'Let them explain to her, I've had enough.' she though, taking a bite of the jerky.
