Fields

Danielle whirled at the sound of Sloan. "Hey!" she called, starting to sprint toward her.

((uumm....Sloan is passed out lol))

Rhea watched with shock as Danielle whirled around,
"Huh?" Rhea said and then spotted Sloan on the ground,
"Omigosh!" Rhea called out shocked and ran over to Sloan's side, kneeling down and trying to shake her awake.

(lol, i know)

She reached her and saw she was passed out onto the floor, her body covered in sweat. "What happened?" she cried, shaking her a bit. "She's out cold."

"I dunno," Rhea shrugged "The last I heard her say was that someone was coming for her and Tak,"
Rhea stood up and Ripped a piece of material from her skirt and ran over to the irrigation ditch and dipped the material in, folding it and then returning to sloans side, dabbing her forehead.

She could feel hands on her, and hear voices, but they were muffled and the hands on her were the lightest of touches. She could feel them fussing about her. Then she let out a blood curtling scream.
"Don't let them come!!!" She screamed. Voices inside her head.
~SLOAN!~
~TAKYIA!~

Danielle held her still, "Woah! Woah! It's just us!" she said.

"Sloan! Sloan wake up!" Rhea called, continuing to dab her forehead and Danielle shook her.
"What do we do!? She's not waking!"

Sloan's eyes flew open and she gasped for air, as if she had been trapped under water for a long time. She struggled to sit up, and even then she had a hard time figuring out what happened.
She shook violentily.
"They're coming...Get me away from here...." She whispered. That was all she could say the whole time.

"Let's take her back to the house." Danielle said, scooping her up easily in her long arms. Alec scampered over, following at her heels.

It had been a long night. so much happened. My heart felt heavy and so did my spirit. Maybe taking on this mission wasn't the right thing. I looked at my amulet and pasted on a fake smile. 'I'm here for them not for me' I opened up the irrigation ditch and sat and watched as the field with 2 ft long stems flooded

Mika wandered towards the fields of Vandecar. For the first time since being there she was wearing a dress. It was a light deer skin dress with complicated beading and designs on it. The only one that she had brought with her. For some reason she felt like wearing something more feminine that day. She saw Jarlon and smiled sadly. "Hi.." she said softly.

My mind was so blocked I didn't even hear her walk up. I turned around in the seated position and smiled "Hi, what are you doing here?" I asked as I watched her walk up closer "you look nice"

Mika smiled "thank you" she said a little shyly. "Um....I just thought...maybe we needed to talk?" she nervously played with a piece of grass.

"Talk?" I asked surprised "About what?! There is nothing to talk about" I looked down as I rubbed my hands together then looked back out into my field that was growing nicely

Mika narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Nothing? hmmm then there was no reason that you were distracted and didn't see the bow sniper aiming for you?" she asked referring to the one she had gotten with her knife.

I sighed and didn't know what to say. "Ya...well...." I paused to wait what she would say

Mika took that as a yes. She looked down at her hands. "Jarlon....I really appreciate all that you did. Talking with me..working with me...rescuing me" she said with a slight laugh. "but..the fact remains that we belong to separate villages. I...I can't become a farmer...and you are leader of Vandecar." She sighed slightly and looked up into his eyes. "Be...besides the other girls...I think they have really taken to you..." she said softly

"I'm not ment to be with a women anyway, so no worries. I just had a special attraction to you. Time and distance didn't mean anything to me. And to an extent I thought it would help and make things more special. Now I have all the more reason to stay in my village though right?" I tried to smile.

Mika smiled sadly. "ya..." her eyes fell to the ground. "Um...when Chaya came and made Aaden the leader of Cahoon..she also healed my ribs..." she said quietly "she said something else to..." Mika looked around

A little dissapointed that she left the conversation of their feelings to that I just nodded "Oh really? That's good......what did she say?" I shifted my eyes back to the dirt.

Mika sighed "um...she said something else was hurt in the fall to. Someone she wasn't able to help" she said quietly hoping he would get what she was saying.

I looked into her eyes looking for sadness or happiness. "I'm sorry to hear that Mika!" I looked at the dirt "A blessing in disguise I guess....."
Out of the blue I turned to her "Tell me....does he ever talk about you and what you like? Or is it all about kissing and sex to him?" I asked abruptely "Does he ask about your past, about what you like, the smells you like, what color, what food, can you tell him ANYTHING?" I asked with a little bit of sadness in my voice. "Not saying I don't want you to be with him, but I do want you to be the happiest you have been. I'm sorry...I shouldn't have said that"

Mika didn't know what to think about the baby. She was relived..but sad at the same time. She looked up suddenly at Jarlon's remarks. "I...I don't know" she said softly "I guess I have just kinda been caught up in it all" "we..we haven't talked alot...I haven't told him...." she trailed off. She sat down in the grass. "I don't know.." she said again.

I raised my head "Caught up in it all.....I understand." was all I couldn think to say. "Well I wish you two luck and I hope he treats you right...If he doesn't let me know, i'll take care of it...and noooooo, not kill him, that's not me, I have been known to hold a convincing conversation."
