Zirean looked at the book. It showed up clearly in the dark so she could read it. She put her paw on top of the book and pushed it downward towards the ground. Staring into the mans eyes she lowered her head sadly and said ~Not by choice....~

Freight returned the look with a grin ~Ayla did she say anything?~
~Yes...she said it wasn't by choice~
~Things in life are rarely by choice. Though what you may see as a curse may yet be a gift~ He said as Ayla translated for him

D'Heiren looked toward the door. "who's there?," she called. Tesla reappeared with Ayla, and walked over to sit beside Zirean, to D'Heiren's surprise. ~did you know about this?~ she asked the cat.
~only right before i went to hunt with Ayla,~ Tesla answered. ~there's no reason to be afraid. Zirean is still herself, your friend, as she was before.~ D'Heiren smiled at Zirean. "that's right," she said, "youre still my friend."

She nodded and said ~But werewolves are greatly mistaken. It's only the person that decides the werewolves nature.~ She looked back up at him sadly. Unsure of what to do.

Ayla translated what Zirean said ~ah but assassins are greatly mistaken...its as if we are mercenaries... I am not a weapon for hire. Me and my partners have a goal and don't do the dirty work of greedy people. We hunt the Revenge.~ he said having Ayla translate more. ~plus you can not believe everything you hear. for instance a lot of people believe dragons are evil yet Samba is not.~ he said once again having Ayla translate as he also said it out loud so that the other human could hear him

"and there are many people who believe elves and magic wielders are evil, just because they are different," D'Heiren added sadly. "by the way, what is the Revenge?"

~I also hunt the Revenge. They know my weakness and have been hunting me down for weeks on end.~ she growled angerly in frustration.
~Trying to get me on their side by force. Ust because they want a strong ally.~ Zirean stomped her paw down and laid her ears back for a minute.
She looked at D'Heiren and the man.

Freight let a glimmer of anger past his eyes but didn't want to be angry and end up disrespecting someone on accident so he tried to hide it although if you looked at his eyes you could see it clearly "Yes... The Revenge are very much ike bandits although on larger scale and a bit sadistic at that" he said towards D'Heiren he turned back to zirean ~well if you ever need help just umm yell eh? i will probably hear it and if not Ayla surely will~

Zirean nodded her big furry head, she felt huge with the little spirit animals standing there, and D'Heiren sitting down next to her. Zirean put a paw on D'Heiren's lap and put her ears up happily.
Finally able to trust some of the villagers she was much happier. Though she still missed Laohu.....'Where was he?' Zirean took her paw off the girls lap and looked around. There was another girl in the barn she noticed finally.

D'Heiren watched Freight leave, keeping her eyes on him until he was out of sight. ~too bad he left...~ she commented to Tesla.
~why? dont tell me youre getting attached to him already,~ the cat replied sarcastically.
~youre so mean,~ D'Heiren complained, ~cant i like someone without getting made fun of?~ Tesla didnt reply, choosing instead to stalk a shadow in the corner. ~hmph. fine, im going to sleep again,~ the girl said, curling up on the floor where she was. 'the Revenge is the enemies of my friends...,' she thought, 'if my training has been for anything, it is for helping my friends...'

Seeing that D'Heiren was going back to sleep she sighed and watched the man leave into the shadows. Zirean noticed her black cloak hanging where she'd left it earlier. Pulling it gently with her teeth since she didn't want to ripp the expensive fabric, she dragged it over towards D'Heiren.
Silently stepping around the girl she covered the girl up with the cloak. 'There now you won't freeze to death.' Even though it was early spring, the nights still got cold. Waiting patiently for sunrise, she guarded D'Heiren so that no harm would come to her.
When sunrise came she hid in a shadowed corner after the sun had touched her skin. Morphing back into her human self she let the girl sleep, and started her morning chores.

D'Heiren stired sleepily and sat up. "hmm?" she was puzzled by the black cloak that had been covering her. Tesla stretched luxuriously.
~Zirean put that over you so you wouldnt get cold,~ the cat explained. ~come on, theres probably something you can do to help out.~
~youre right,~ D'Heiren agreed, yawning. she stood and looked around for Zirean. "anything i can do to help?," she asked.

A white fox cam walking into the stables with a small bird riding on its back
~Hello cat I am lux and the bird is Sefiroso...I am his spirit animal~
~maybe you should tell the cat that i am human.~
Lux shook its body making the bird take off to the loft
~I could but its more fun to watch the cat chase a bird~

~hello, Lux,~ Tesla said, ~my name is Tesla. the small, red-haired human is my spirit partner. her name is D'Heiren.~ she sprang at the little bird as it flew up to the loft, catching it in her paws and bringing it down to the floor. ~hmm...he doesnt smell like a bird,~ she observed, ~he smells like a human.~ ~are you a human?,~ she asked Sefiroso.

As to answer that question Sefiroso began changeing back into human form "Didn't expect a cat to be here... Should have been a dog!" he said laughing
~ignore him Tesla he likes to joke a bit too much~

Tesla remained sitting on top of Sefiroso as he changed back to human form. ~well, since i obviously cant have you for breakfast, i'll go find a real bird,~ she said, although he couldnt understand her now, and jumped onto the loft ladder, making sure to dig her back claws into his chest as she did so. ~Lux,~ she said as an afterthought, ~Zirean and D'Heiren are over there,~ she pointed with a swish of her tail before disappearing into the loft.

"that is an odd cat" sefiroso said as he rubbed the part of his chest she dug her claws in. Lux of course ignored him and walked over to D'Heiren and Zirean nudging both in the leg as she looked up at them

D'Heiren looked down, surprised to see a white fox rubbing against her leg. "hello," she said, not noticing Sefiroso right away. she knelt down and petted the fox. "if Tesla were here, i could talk with you," she said, "but i dont know where she went."

Zirean smiled and looked at D'Heiren and said "You can water him if you'd like." Seeing lux there she guessed that the bird was Sefiroso.
She went out of the stall and over to lux "Perhaps you can teach me to morph, maybe one of my talents is Morphing since I already morph Wolf." She said to Sefiroso bending down on one knee. Zirean scratched luxes chin.

"Possibly. Only time can tell, and i would be glad to give it a try." he said smiling "I do love to fly though..." he said transforming into a eagle
~No you just like to show off~

Sefiroso flew up to the rafters ~oh right I can talk to the horse...~ He then flew and landed on Mithous' back ~Hello there Horse!~

D'Heiren stood up and went to get some water for Mithous. when she came back and had finished watering the horse, she joined Zirean and Sefiroso. "that looks like fun!," she said, "i wonder if i could morph too. i guess i wont know until i try, but i dont know how."

Mithous looked back at the eagle and snorted so the birds feathers blew. ~If you don't mind getting off my back, your talons are sharp and they hurt.~ He moved his rump from side to side so that the bird lost balance.
Zirean watched amuzed at how Mithous made the bird get off his back. It almost looked like he was dancing.

Sefiroso jumped off ~you know you whine alot for a horse~ He landed on Zirean's shoulder looking at her with one eagle eye ~this is a better perch anyway you are a bit lumpy~

Mithous snorted angerly~Humph, Lumpy?! Watch it boy, I'm in no mood to be angered.~ he stuck his head out of the stall door and shook his head angerly.
He scrapped the floor with his hoof. "Sefiroso, don't get him angry. It'll just be harder for me to control him later." She said turning her head to the eagle standing with her hands on her hips. "He dosn't let things go so easily, and neither do I. Just remember that." She said pointing at the birds beak like saying he was being naughty.

Sefiroso glided down to the floor next to Zirean's feet and returned to human form "sorry I couldn't understand what you said, but your horse has one heck of a temper!" he said dusting off his arms and chest
